LASU Seeks Stakeholders’ Expectations as New Vice-Chancellor Assumes Office

The Lagos State University (LASU) has called on academic staff, non-teaching staff and students to participate in an internal stakeholder expectations and agenda-setting survey designed to shape the institution’s future strategic priorities.
The initiative follows the assumption of office of the university’s new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Olawunmi Badejo, and is aimed at gathering constructive perspectives from members of the university community on areas requiring attention and development.
According to the university, the survey will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to contribute their expectations and priorities towards strengthening LASU’s institutional development and sustaining its leadership position nationally and globally.
LASU stressed that the exercise is focused exclusively on future agenda-setting and is not intended to evaluate or assess the performance of the previous administration.
The university urged participants to provide candid, objective and constructive responses, noting that the feedback would be valuable in identifying strategic priorities for the new administration.
The survey is open to academic staff, non-teaching staff and students, who are expected to share their views on issues they consider important to the university’s future growth and development.
LASU also assured participants of privacy and advised them not to include their names, staff or matriculation numbers, or any other personally identifying information in their responses.
The university said completion of the survey is expected to take approximately 8 to 12 minutes, encouraging members of the university community to participate actively in the agenda-setting process.
The exercise is expected to provide the new administration with broad-based insights into the aspirations and expectations of internal stakeholders as it begins to set its strategic direction for the university.
