Renewed Hope Agenda: Ado-Odo/Ota Residents to Benefit from Federal Government Cash Transfer Programme Tomorrow

Residents of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government whose names were extracted from the State Social Register and shortlisted for the programme are set to benefit from the Federal Government's Household Uplifting Programme – Cash Transfer (HOPE-CT) under the Renewed Hope Agenda, as the intervention is scheduled to commence in the local government tomorrow.

The development follows the successful distribution of debit cards to no fewer than 1,381 beneficiaries in Yewa North Local Government Area as part of the ongoing implementation of the programme across Ogun State.

The HOPE-CT initiative is designed to improve the living conditions of vulnerable households through direct financial support from the Federal Government. Across Ogun State, about 23,000 shortlisted residents are expected to benefit from the intervention.

Under the scheme, each verified beneficiary will receive a total grant of ₦75,000, payable in three instalments of ₦25,000 each through debit cards issued under the programme.

According to officials of the State Cash Transfer Unit, the programme is aimed at uplifting vulnerable households and ensuring that the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda reach those who need them most.

The State Cash Transfer Unit has assured residents that the implementation process will be guided by transparency, accountability and fairness, while payments will be anchored on National Identification Number (NIN) biometric verification to ensure that only eligible beneficiaries receive the grants.

Eligible residents of Ado-Odo/Ota are therefore encouraged to cooperate with officials and complete all necessary verification procedures as the programme commences in the local government tomorrow.
