Participants Applaud GTCO 2026 Fair, Cite Rising Sales and Business Growth
Entrepreneurs and visitors at the 2026 edition of the GTCO Food and Drink Festival have commended the initiative for boosting small businesses and providing a vibrant platform for product visibility and networking.
The event, organised by Guaranty Trust Holding Company (GTCO), recorded a large turnout of participants who showcased a wide range of food, beverages, and lifestyle products, many of whom reported significant growth in sales compared to previous editions.
Several exhibitors who spoke during the event said their continued participation was driven by positive past experiences and tangible business gains.
Among them was Jigilola Odejobi, who deals in small chops and snacks, and described the platform as instrumental in expanding her customer base and increasing revenue.
Similarly, Prichid, a vendor specialising in pineapple and tiger nut products based on Anthony-Oyedele Street, noted that the exposure from the fair had helped strengthen brand awareness and attract new customers.
Edstars Cuisine, owned by Blessing Edet and based within the University of Lagos, also reported strong patronage, attributing the success to the festival’s wide reach and effective organisation.
Beyond business, the event also catered to family-friendly experiences. Timileyin Aikulola, one of the young attendees, expressed excitement over the children’s amusement park, highlighting the festival’s inclusive atmosphere.
For Abiodun Ojuelegba, owner of AI Shawarma of Mabu Ste., the 2026 edition marked his third participation. He said the consistency of the event and the support provided by GTCO have continued to deliver value for vendors.
“This is my third time here, and each year comes with better opportunities. GTCO has created something that truly supports small businesses,” he said.
Overall, participants praised the initiative as a strategic platform that not only promotes entrepreneurship but also fosters community engagement, reinforcing GTCO’s role in supporting enterprise development in Nigeria.
