The Ado-Odo/Ota branch of the Association of Ogun State Hoteliers has elected Otunba Raphael Adesina, JP, as its Chairman for another three-year term, alongside 19 other members who will constitute the new executive council of the association.

The consensus which took place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Alasia, Ilogbo road Ota ,marked the return of Adesina for a second consecutive term, following the confidence reposed in his leadership by members.

The newly elected executive members are expected to provide leadership for the association and advance the interests and welfare of hoteliers across Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government during the next three years.

Other members of the new executive council are Otunba Olufemi Olamiosegbe, First Vice Chairman; Olaloko Adeniran, Second Vice Chairman; Adeniji Abraham, Secretary; Olaseni Adesina, Assistant Secretary; Olusesan Fayombi, Treasurer; and Balogun Quadri, Financial Secretary.

Also elected are Adetonwa Abiodun, Auditor-General; Fadins Adekunte, Chairman, Social Committee; Akinyemi Olarenwaju, Social Secretary; Omokoyode Adeyinka, Assistant Social Secretary; Dr. Samson Adesakin, Ex-Officio II; and Odeyemi Mopelola, Welfare Officer.

Others include Afolabi Kayode, Public Relations Officer I; Dada Olasunkanmi, Public Relations Officer II; Abiodun Adeyemi, Chief Whip; Tapa Peter Taiwo, Assistant Chief Whip; Ajumbobi Samuel, Ex-Officio I; Akhayi Y.A. Siti-Bey, Chairman, Tactical Standing Committee; and Kabiru Oseni, Assistant Treasurer.

Adesina pledges inclusive leadership

In his acceptance speech, Adesina expressed gratitude to God and members of the association for giving him another opportunity to serve, describing his re-election as a responsibility that required collective commitment.

He thanked those who supported his vision and called on all members to put the election behind them and unite in the interest of the association.

“An election is a contest but governance is a collaboration,” Adesina said, stressing that the challenges confronting the association could only be overcome through unity and collective action.

He pledged to be a chairman for all members, irrespective of their beliefs or ethnicity, while assuring members that his administration would operate an open and inclusive leadership structure.

According to him, his administration would be guided by three key principles: open communication, transparency and action. promising  to maintain an open-door policy, encouraging members to bring forward their feedback, questions and ideas.

He also pledged that decisions under his leadership would be made transparently and fairly, with the interests of members given priority sailying the new administration would move beyond talking and concentrate on achieving practical results capable of improving the association and the welfare of its members.

He acknowledged that the task ahead would require hard work and dedication, adding that he could not achieve the objectives of the administration alone.

The chairman therefore appealed for the continued support, cooperation, energy and patience of members as the new executive works towards building a stronger and more united association.

He concluded by appreciating members for the trust placed in him and called on the newly elected executives and the entire membership to get down to work.

“Let’s get to work together,” he said.

The new leadership is expected to serve for three years, with members looking forward to an administration focused on unity, improved welfare, stronger professional relationships and the advancement of the hospitality business in Ado-Odo/Ota.
