LAGOS — Lagos State Governor, , has reaffirmed the state's commitment to fostering international partnerships that will drive economic growth and create opportunities for young people.

The governor made this known on Tuesday while receiving the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, , on a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina.

During the meeting, both officials discussed practical areas of collaboration, particularly in technology, renewable energy, and vocational training, sectors considered critical to equipping young people with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized that Lagos remains the economic hub of West Africa and continues to position itself as a preferred destination for investment and international cooperation.

According to the governor, strategic partnerships with countries such as Germany are essential to accelerating innovation, supporting sustainable development, and expanding employment opportunities for the state's growing youth population.

"We discussed practical partnerships in key sectors such as technology, renewable energy and vocational training, which are essential to creating real opportunities for our young people," he said.

The governor noted that his administration is committed to creating an enabling environment where businesses and international partnerships can flourish, adding that Lagos remains open to collaborations that will enhance economic development and improve the quality of life for residents.
