ADO-ODO/OTA COUNCIL DELIVERS TRANSFORMER TO BOOST ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT
Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government has delivered a 300kVA transformer to boost the electrification project at Inawole Idosaba community in Alapoti Ward, marking a major step towards improving residents’ quality of life.
The project, executed under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lawal Wasiu, had fulfilled a key campaign promise and underscored the administration’s commitment to grassroots development and enhanced living standards.
The electrification initiative included the installation of a transformer, electricity poles, wiring and other critical infrastructure, noting that, though, the project had not been officially commissioned, residents say its impact was already being felt, as they expressed optimism and appreciation for the long-awaited development.
Speaking on the project, Deputy Leader of the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Legislative Council and representative of Alapoti Ward, Hon. Oseni Lateef, commended Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, for fostering an enabling environment for effective grassroots governance.
A Community leader, Prince Adekunle Kehinde, described the electrification project as transformative, adding that it would significantly boost socio-economic activities in the area.
The Chairman of the Community Development Association, Mr. Victor Osemasa, said the provision of the transformer signalled the beginning of a lasting solution to the community’s long-standing electricity challenges.
Responding, a resident at the area, Mrs. Alake Adetunji, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Local government for extending essential infrastructure to the area, saying the development would ensure that Inawole Idosaba is no longer left behind in the distribution of social amenities.
The project stood as a clear demonstration of the Council’s commitment to inclusive development, as the community looked forward to its official commissioning.
