Ogun State Ministry Of Education Approves New Zonal Education Structure, Appoints Zonal Education Officer for Ado-Odo/Ota II
The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has approved the restructuring and division of four of the largest Zonal Education Offices in the state into smaller zones, in a move aimed at enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and quality service delivery across the education sector.
This was conveyed in the press release from the Ministry adding that as part of the new administrative arrangement, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area has been restructured into two zones, Ado-Odo/Ota I and Ado-Odo/Ota II; to ensure improved coordination, closer supervision of schools, and better engagement with education stakeholders.
Following the restructuring, the Ado-Odo/Ota II Zonal Education Office has been officially established, with Mrs. Titilola N. Otesile appointed as the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) for the new zone.
Announcing the development, the Zonal Education Officer for Ado-Odo/Ota I, Mrs. Ayoola A. S., described the restructuring as a strategic initiative by the ministry to strengthen educational administration and bring governance closer to schools and communities.
Mrs. Otesile, according to the announcement, brings a wealth of experience, professionalism, and dedication to educational administration. Her appointment is expected to further enhance service delivery, promote effective policy implementation, and deepen stakeholder engagement within Ado-Odo/Ota II.
All stakeholders, including school proprietors, administrators, education managers, unions, community leaders, and development partners, have been urged to accord the newly appointed Zonal Education Officer the necessary cooperation and support to ensure the successful realization of the ministry’s educational goals in the zone.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to continuous reforms that will strengthen the education system and improve learning outcomes across the state.
