OGSTVEB TO IMPLEMENT NEWLY APPROVED NTC AND NOS CURRICULUM THIS TERM-ADENOWO
The Acting Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board (OGSTVEB), Mrs. Mojisola Adenowo, has announced that the recently approved National Technical Certificate (NTC) curriculum and National Occupational Standards (NOS) for newly introduced trades will be implemented this term.
Mrs. Adenowo made this known while addressing staff during the New Year meeting organized by the Ministry, noting that the development was aimed at strengthening technical and vocational education across the State.
She added that, to ensure effective implementation of the curriculum, the Ogun State Skills Fund organised a standardisation meeting with OGSTVEB staff and instructors to harmonise teaching methods and ensure proper delivery of the new standards.
The Acting Executive Secretary disclosed that the Ministry has been assigned ambitious targets for the year, emphasising that achieving them would require collective commitment and teamwork from all officers.
While outlining the action plan for the year, including the Dual Technical Training (DTT) programme, industrial exposure for teachers, upskilling initiatives and the introduction of short-term courses such as FME IDEAS initiative, TVET initiative, certification and assessment of artisans.
She urged staff to be more proactive and productive in the discharge of their duties, while she charged heads of departments to promote effective teamwork across the agency.
Mrs. Adenowo expressed appreciation to all officers for their cooperation, dedication and peaceful coexistence over the past year, with special commendation to newly recruited staff. She further addressed the challenges facing various departments and assured that necessary measures would be put in place to address them.
