 Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government to Address Multiple Tax Payments, Road Conditions, Security Issues








The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu, has assured companies in Ota that his administration will address multiple tax payments, road conditions, and security issues affecting their operations in the area.


The Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu gave the assurance during an industrial  tour to CWAY Food and Beverages Ltd, Ilogbo road in Ota adding that the visit aimed to familiarize the local government with companies within its jurisdiction and foster a working relationship.


The LG boss urged CWAY management to educate their drivers to maintain a queuing system and avoid parking abruptly on the road. He also advised them to promptly pay their levies, which form part of the local government's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for community development and infrastructural projects.

Alhaji Lawal noted that he had visited the construction site at Oju Ore and demanded that contractors make drainage available to direct water flow and provide alternative roads for motorists, especially during the rainy season. He gave the contractors a three-week ultimatum to make the necessary changes.

Earlier, the General Manager of CWAY Food and Beverages Ltd, Mr. Arun Bhintade, had called on the local government administration to address issues concerning multiple tax payments, road conditions, and security issues affecting their operations.

Mr. Bhintade emphasized that the company has consistently complied with safety policies and national and international regulations, ensuring quality and safety at all times.

He said the development is expected to improve the business environment in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area and foster a more collaborative relationship between the local government and companies operating within its jurisdiction.
