'How to harness youths’ potential for development’
The Director-General National Productivity Centre (NPC), Kashim Akor on Thursday explained how the country can harness the potential of its youths for national development.
The NPC boss said through productivity, the youth can be harnessed for national development.
Akor spoke while inaugurating a Sharon vehicle donated by the Non- Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), the NPC chapter in Abuja yesterday.
He said: “We believe that through productivity, the youth can adequately be harnessed for national development.”
The NPC chief advised the management of organisations to work with unions in the organisation for industrial harmony.

According to him, no member of staff wants the organisation where he or she receives salary to collapse.
“As stakeholders in that organisation, the best thing to do as managers is to always involve them in the running of the organisation. In NPC, that is what we do,” he said.
In another development, the Centre for Undergraduate Research Fund, University of Abuja has awarded a N1.7 million grant to six students of the university.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, disclosed this during the second undergraduate research day with the theme “Promoting National Development through Research,” in Abuja yesterday.
He said the grant is to assist the students in developing solutions to national problems.
