DO YOU AGREE? Buhari Is The Worst President To Ever Rule Nigeria

Deji Adeyanju, popular Abuja-based activist has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari over the current spate of insecurity in the country.

Adeyanju, who is the convener of Concerned Nigerians, described Buhari as the worst president ever to rule the country.

In a post on his Facebook page, the activist said Buhari should apologise for condemning the then government of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, over insecurity.

According to Adeyanju: “Buhari should apologize to PDP for calling them corrupt and condemning their Govt over insecurity.

“He is the worst president to ever rule this country. I hope the country survives till 2023.”

Lately, kidnapping and banditry has been on the rise in the Northern part of Nigeria.

School students, both primary and secondary have been the major targets of the bandits.

Zamfara, Niger, Kaduna and Kebbi States have been the worst affected by the activities of banditry in the North.

Meanwhile, in another move that can be held on to as evidence of government failure, the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has declared that there is no way the Federal Government can secure all schools in the country.

As a result of this, parents and Nigerians have been urged to maintain a high level of vigilance to end attacks on schools and abduction of students.

In light of this, government consequently directed schools to report any security threat to the nearest security agency.

The Minister said, “Eternal vigilance is the price for security. Every nation is always concerned about the consciousness of its people.

“The Federal Government cannot secure every house. Everybody needs to be vigilant. We have passed this message to all our schools so that anywhere they are, if there is any threat, they know the nearest security agency to contact.

Nwajiuba also claimed that almost all schools in the country were fenced. “Almost all the schools in Nigeria, whether private or owned by the Federal Government, are mostly all fenced, except maybe some state schools.

“As you may also be aware, even if you put up a fence, these people (bandits) have been known to come through gates.

“So, perimeter fencing, by themselves, are not too effective. The security consciousness is the thing. If you hear where some of them are being held, you will know that it is a question of self-consciousness and communities informing officials on time.”

SCOOPER earlier today reported that the Kaduna government has confirmed that no pupil of the UBE Primary School in Rama, Birnin-Gwari LGA of the state is missing after two pupils who were initially declared missing following the bandit attack were found.

Gunmen suspected to be bandits had invaded the school in the early hours of Monday, after which some teachers and pupils were declared missing.

Speaking at a media briefing on Monday, Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, said three teachers — Rabiu Salisu, Umar Hassan, and Bala Adamu — were abducted from the school.

He added that two pupils who were missing after the attack have been found.

“At this time, the state government has compiled and analysed all the security reports and can confirm that there was indeed an invasion of the said school,” Aruwan said.

“The government can confirm that three teachers — Rabiu Salisu, Umar Hassan, and Bala Adamu — have been kidnapped.

“Pupils who had just arrived the school to begin the day’s activities, took to their heels in the course of the commotion, as the bandits invaded the premises on motorcycles.

“This led to two pupils going missing — identified as Ahmad Halilu and Kabiru Yahaya. However, we are happy to inform you that the two missing pupils have been found.

“We can also confirm that no single pupil was kidnapped from the school. Other than the three teachers previously mentioned, no staff or pupil of the school is missing following the attack.”
