Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) has gone round the borders of Ogun State to monitor the influx of people into the state ahead the Friday total lockdown.
The TRACE, CEO, Commander Seni Ogunyemi while on monitoring exercise to Ado-Odo/Ota, Sango, Lagos/OtaToll gate, Agbara/Lagos Badagry Expressway, Ikorodu/Epe, Mowe/Ibafo, Ojodu, Ikorodu Epe advised the motorists to comply with the restriction order of not carrying more than a passenger on Okada, two passengers on tricycle and three passengers in a taxi.
According to the TRACE boss, since transportation system is very important and could be very susceptible to the spread of COVID-19, the agency deems it necessary to properly monitor our border towns which could be used by people moving from one state to another adding that the agency needs to be pro-active in maintaining the restriction order and monitor the influx of people from our neighbouring state prior the lockdown on Friday
This area 4 Commander, Adekunle Ajibade added that it is also mandatory for the residents to keep to hygienic campaign by the health sectors in Ogun State by washing hands regularly with sterilizer saying necessary arrangements should be made by the motorists and residents ahead Friday total lock down in the state
He enjoined everyone to be obedient and co operate with the government in order to find a lasting solution to the pandemic saying the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has demonstrated a good leadership by appealing to the presidency for extension of the total lockdown till Friday, 3rd, April, 2020.
Ajibade said all machineries have been in place by the agency to work with other sisters agency in ensuring strict compliance and apprehend any violator of the lockdown order.
Indeed, our governor prince Dapo Abiodun and trace commander Adekunle Ajibade are performing their patriotic duties with unending seal. Kudos! May God saturate their strength more and more.
