Speaking at the event, which was in collaboration with Remo Development Forum and the Sagamite Babes at the Sagamu Town Hall, Mrs. Bamidele expressed her unwavering commitment towards widows, recalling the flagged off of her programme for the widows held last year at the June 12, Cultural Centre, Kuto Abeokuta, where a total number of 1,000 widows were supported with cash and food items.
Represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Funmi Efuwape, the Wife of the Governor said the donation was a means of relieving the hardship that may be caused as a result of the 14 days lockdown announced by the Federal government to curb the spread of Covid-19.
She reiterated her determination to extend the gesture to other parts of the State, advising women to comply with the governments' directives at flattening the curve of the virus for the benefit of all.
The event attracted widows and single mothers from Sagamu and its environs.
This gesture from the wife of the Ogun state governor require wide publicity. May God grant her more grace. But we are expecting her in Ado- odo/ota too for same gesture.
