29th/30th Convocation: LASU Management Prohibits Unauthorised Sale and Allocation of Faculty Spaces
29th/30th Convocation: LASU Management Prohibits Unauthorised Sale and Allocation of Faculty Spaces
The Management of Lagos State University (LASU) wishes to inform members of the University Community and the general public that the allocation of faculty spaces for activities during the forthcoming Combined 29th and 30th Convocation Ceremonies is the *exclusive responsibility of the Space Allocation Sub-Committee of the University Ceremonies Committee*.
This clarification has become necessary following reports of the unauthorised allocation and sale of faculty spaces by some student representatives and faculty associations during previous Convocation Ceremonies.
Management wishes to emphasise that *no student body, faculty association, departmental association, or student representative has the authority to allocate, sell, or interfere with the allocation of spaces designated for Convocation activities*. Any allocation or transaction conducted outside the approval of the Space Allocation Sub-Committee is invalid and will not be recognised by the University.
The 29th and 30th Combined Convocation Ceremonies are scheduled to hold from *Wednesday, 12th August to Sunday, 23rd August, 2026*. To ensure a transparent, orderly, and equitable allocation process, *all requests for exhibition or business spaces must be directed to the Space Allocation Sub-Committee* through the appropriate channels.
Members of the University Community, prospective exhibitors, vendors, and other stakeholders are therefore advised to disregard any individual or group claiming authority to allocate or sell spaces on behalf of the University.
