SENATOR GBOLAHAN DADA CALLS FOR PEACEFUL APC SENATORIAL PRIMARY IN OGUN WEST
As members of the All Progressives Congress in Ogun West Senatorial District prepare for the senatorial primary election scheduled for Monday, May 18, a respected leader and statesman, Senator Prince Gbolahan Dada, has passionately appealed to party faithful to embrace peace, unity and political maturity throughout the exercise.
In a strongly worded appeal to party members, aspirants and supporters across the district, Senator Dada emphasized that the APC remains one united political family bound together by a common vision for progress, development and electoral victory in 2027. According to him, no ambition should be allowed to divide the party or create bitterness among loyal members who have worked tirelessly to strengthen the APC across Ogun West.
He noted that primary elections are not battlefields for hostility, hatred or violence, but democratic avenues through which parties peacefully choose candidates capable of representing the collective interest of the people and work for development. He urged all stakeholders to conduct themselves with discipline, tolerance and mutual respect before, during and after the primary election.
Prince Dada further stressed that Ogun West occupies a strategic position in the political future of Ogun State, warning that any form of crisis or internal conflict could weaken the unity and electoral strength of the APC in the senatorial district. He therefore called on party leaders, youths and women groups to promote harmony and reject every act capable of causing tension or disaffection among members.
The former senator also appealed to aspirants to see themselves first as loyal party men committed to the larger interest of the APC, rather than competitors driven by personal ambition alone. He maintained that whoever emerges victorious at the primary must receive the support of all party members in the spirit of brotherhood and political solidarity.
“As progressives, we are working for one common goal — the continued success and stability of our great party,” he declared. “Let us demonstrate maturity, unity and peaceful coexistence that will further strengthen the APC in Ogun West and Ogun State at large.”
