The Ogun State Auditor-General for Local Government, Mr. Nojeem Olayinka Abdul, FCA, on Tuesday paid an official visit to Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government as part of efforts to strengthen accountability and oversight in the administration of council finances.

Mr. Abdul was received at the council secretariat by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, who described the visit as timely and significant to the ongoing audit exercise in the local government.

“We have created an enabling environment for the state auditors to perform their duties efficiently, and your visit will further ensure proper accountability,” Wasiu stated.

He commended the leadership of the council for its cooperation and commitment to due process, noting that such collaboration was essential for strengthening financial discipline at the grassroots level.

Abdul also expressed confidence in the administration’s dedication to prudent management of public resources, wishing the chairman a successful tenure in office.
