ANOTHER 261 OGUNTEACH INTERNS RECEIVE ENGAGEMENT, POSTING LETTERS

No fewer than 261 interns under the Ogun State Teaching Experience Acquisition Channel (OGUNTEACH), have received their engagement and posting letters, with a charge to remain dedicated and committed to service.

The letters were presented to the beneficiaries at the Secretariat of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, by the Board Chairman, Evangelist Olalekan Ifede.

Addressing the interns, Ifede described the two-year internship programme as an opportunity to serve and gain valuable teaching experience, stressing that it should not be seen as a “national cake,” but a platform to contribute meaningfully and justify the monthly stipends attached to it.

He emphasised that interns who discharge their duties diligently, particularly those posted to rural schools, would be considered for permanent employment upon completion of the programme, based on recommendations from their respective schools.

The SUBEB Chairman urged the beneficiaries to accept their postings in good faith, warning that any attempt to influence or alter their deployment could lead to disqualification from the internship. He advised them to treat the learners as their own by teaching them effectively and with dedication.

Ifede further implored the interns to complement the efforts of the Ogun State Government by contributing positively to the growth and development of basic education in the State.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Aisha Hassan and Mr. Olusanmi Akinlabi expressed appreciation to the State government for the opportunity, pledging to remain dedicated and committed throughout the duration of the internship programme.
