ADO-ODO/OTA COUNCIL TRAINS STAFF TO ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY
The Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government has organised an in-house training programme for its staff as part of ongoing efforts to enhance productivity, efficiency and overall service delivery within the Council.
The training, which took place at the Chief Nasiru Deinde Memorial Hall, Council Secretariat, was conducted in line with directives from the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, aimed at strengthening administrative capacity across local governments.
In his opening remarks, Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Babatunde Adesina, commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lawal Wasiu, for providing an enabling environment for staff development initiatives, enjoined staff members to be active in participation, encouraging them to prepare to apply the knowledge gained to improve service delivery.
Delivering a lecture on Budget Management and Planning, one of the Resource persons, Head of Budget Planning, Research and Statistics Department, Mrs. Daramola Olubusola, emphasised the importance of prudent financial management, effective resource allocation and strategic planning in achieving sustainable grassroots development.
Also speaking, Head of the Community and Social Welfare Department, Mr. Animashaun Saheed, highlighted the importance of leadership in fostering unity, promoting social welfare, as he dwelt on the topic; The role of Community Leadership, noting that unity and balanced social welfare served as a vital link between government and the people, while stressing the need for empathy, accountability and proactive engagement in addressing community challenges.
Responding, one of the participants, Oloyede Ogunrombi, described the programme as timely and impactful, noting that it would significantly enhance their performance and professional competence.
