Adron Homes’ Aare Adetola Emmanuel‑King, LASU, UBA, Access Bank, Alternative Bank, MOUN, Onitigbo & Industry Leaders Light Up Octagon Media 12th Champions Award 2025

The glittering Octagon Media 12th Anniversary Lecture and Champions Award Night, held on Thursday, 27 November 2025 at Leotori Halls and Lodge, Lagos, brought together top leaders from the private and public sectors.
Aare Adetola Emmanuel‑King of Adron Homes & Properties was crowned OCTAGON MEDIA Man of the Year 2025, while Lagos State University (LASU) earned Most Digitally Innovative University of the Year 2025 (Nigeria).
Segun Success Band and hip‑hop artists kept the celebration alive as the event honored excellence across banking, homes and properties, transport, safety and security, community service, and innovation.
Alhaji Dr. Rasaq Sola Sotayo (National President, Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria – MOUN) received Transport Union Man of the Year. United Bank of Africa (UBA) was named Most Innovative Bank of the Year, Access Bank secured Best SME Support Bank of the Year, and Alternative Bank won Most Resourceful and Customer‑Friendly Bank of the Year.
Other distinguished honorees included HRM Oba Olabode Thomas‑Fagbayi Adeyombo II, Onitigbo of Tigbo Ilu (Traditional Leader – Culture & Heritage Builder of the Year), ACP Oladele Bamidele Olushola (Outstanding & Resourceful Area Commander of the Year), ACP Adeniyi Agboola (Notable Community Policing Advocate of the Year), Chief Ibilola Kamilat Subair, Esq. (Most Resourceful & Notable State Board Chairman of the Year), Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA (Most Innovative & Resourceful Local Government Executive Chairman of the Year), Alhaji Junaid Babatunde Wasiu, FCA (Most Resourceful and Notable Local Government Administrator of the Year), Mrs. Olubukola Abosede Cole, JP (Most Innovative Private School Owner of the Year), SC Afeez A. Fatai (Resourceful & Notable Innovation in Customs Administration Officer of the Year), Chief Dr. Bamigbaye Sunday Onifade (Most Innovative Tradomedical Titan of the Year), Nigeria Society of Engineers, OTA Branch (Most Resourceful Professional Body of the Year), and Hoteliers Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter (Most Resourceful Hospitality Association of the Year). Dr. Abolaji J Kelani (Young Innovative Politician of the Year), Pilar College of Health Technology (Most Resourceful College of Health Technology of the Year), Engr. Enitan Akinwale (Outstanding Enforcement and Compliance VIS Officer of the Year), Adebayo Taofeek (Outstanding Traffic Agency Public Relations Officer of the Year), CSP Earnest Obideyi (Innovative Police Team Work Leader of the Year), and SP Shittu Rasheed Adeola (Notable Investigative Police Officer of the Year).
Event chairman Engr. Kehinde Kolade praised the publisher for the honor of chairing and pledged continued support, noting Octagon Media’s consistent relevance in the media industry.
Prof. Afisu Taiwo Oseni, Deputy Vice‑Chancellor (Academics) of Lagos State University (LASU), lauded the Octagon team for highlighting LASU’s digital transformation and its leadership in JAMB admissions as the most‑sourced university in Nigeria during the 2025 JAMB exercise.
MOUN, represented by Agbaakin, highlighted its extensive hospitality, education, and empowerment programs that have impacted over a thousand members nationwide.
HRM Oba Olabode Thomas‑Fagbayi Adeyombo II reaffirmed his kingdom’s support for Octagon Media’s mission and urged the brand to keep projecting Nigeria positively.
Editor‑in‑Chief Comr. Olatunji Egbewunmi reflected on 12 years of championing industry champions, thanking his wife, partners, and all PR and advert supporters. He promised an even bigger 2026 edition.
