ADO-ODO/OTA LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL SUSPENDS EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OVER ALLEGED GROSS MISCONDUCT
The 9th Legislative Council of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Ogun State, has announced the suspension of the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Adewale Wasiu (FCA), for a period of three months following allegations of gross misconduct.
The decision was reached during the Council’s plenary sitting, where members deliberated extensively on issues relating to the conduct of the Executive Chairman.
In line with the provisions of the Local Government Administration Law, the Council directed the Vice Chairman to immediately assume leadership of the Local Government and oversee its affairs to ensure smooth and uninterrupted governance during the suspension period.
According to the resolution, the Legislative Council reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to accountability, transparency, and good governance, emphasizing that the action taken was in the best interest of the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
The Council assured residents that the temporary leadership arrangement would not hinder ongoing developmental projects and service delivery across the Local Government area.
