Ado-Odo/Ota LG Chairman To Release Harmonized Revenue List to Ease Tax Burden
The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Adewale Lawal Wasiu, FCA, has assured that a harmonized revenue list will be issued to companies next year to guide against multiple tax and streamline the process, ensuring transparency.
The Local Government Boss, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu made this statement during the visit to Dufil Prima's Foods Plc, in Ota emphasizing the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in supporting environmental sanitation and infrastructure development.
He proposed a partnership with the company in launching the Environmental Marshal initiative, designed to enforce environmental policies and address related challenges reaffirming the administration's commitment to building stronger partnerships with corporate organizations within the community.
The Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu expressed gratitude for Dufil Prima's warm reception and pledged to sustain an open-door relationship, fostering mutual growth, enhancing infrastructure, and improving the well-being of the Local Government area.
"We are committed to building stronger partnerships with corporate organizations within the community," he said.
Responding,The Plant Manager, Mr. Rohit Kedis, assured the company's continuous supports for the Local Government's developmental agenda raising concerns about road construction projects affecting the factory's operations and customers.
Mr. Kedis highlighted Dufil Prima's community support efforts to include the digging of a drainage at Irewole Estate through Afobaje Ota to ease flooding and improve sanitation, which the Chairman commended as a laudable intervention.
Speaking,the Human Resources Manager, Mr. Richard Ogunye, appreciated the Chairman's assurance that the Environmental Marshal initiative would help address security issues.
According to him "the harmonized revenue list is expected to ease the tax burden on companies and promote a more transparent and efficient revenue collection process,.The partnership between Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government and Dufil Prima is a step towards fostering mutual growth and development in the community",he said.
He reminded the chairman on government's intervention concerning revenue collection, citing multiple collectors approach posting threats to the company.
