OGUN DISBURSES RELIEF FUNDS TO FLOOD VICTIMS
Ogun State Government has initiated the disbursement of relief funds to victims of the recent April 2025 rainstorm disaster in Abebi Quarters, in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State.
Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Oluwasesan Fagbayi, representing the State Government, made this known during a meeting at the Local Government Secretariat in Ota, saying the intervention was a reflection of the administration's unwavering commitment to the welfare and safety of its citizens.
He noted that the relief funds was aimed to provide immediate assistance to residents whose property were damaged during the incident, emphasising that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration would continue to prioritise the well-being of residents by providing timely support in moments of need.
Speaking, Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Wasiu, commended the swift intervention of the State Government, describing it as a clear demonstration of the Governor's people-oriented leadership.
He assured residents that the Local Government would continue to work closely with the State to identify affected households and ensure that support reaches genuine beneficiaries.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Opeifa Afolabi, expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the timely intervention noting that the support would help affected families rebuild their lives with renewed hope.
