The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) recently hosted a workshop to formally launch the Guidelines on Corporate Governance for the Nigerian Telecommunications Industry. The event brought together key stakeholders from the telecom sector, regulatory bodies, and academia to discuss best practices and challenges in corporate governance.

The workshop was attended by prominent figures in the industry, including Gwa Mohammed, Secretary of NCC; Dr. Armstrong Takang, CEO of Ministry of Finance Incorporated; Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NCC; Mr. Titus Osawe, Coordinating Director of Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria; Rimini Makama, Executive Commissioner of Stakeholder Management at NCC; and Professor Fabian Ajogwu, SAN, a renowned expert in Corporate Governance from Lagos Business School.


The guidelines aim to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance practices within the telecom industry. Effective corporate governance is crucial for ensuring that companies operate responsibly, maintain stakeholder trust, and contribute to the overall development of the economy.
