 UBA’s Business Series returns with focus on collaboration for MSME growth

United Bank for Africa (UBA) is reaffirming its commitment to business development and financial inclusion as it hosts the second edition of its 2025 Business Series on Thursday, 10 July, 2025.


According to the bank, the event will focus on empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to unlock growth opportunities through collaboration and strategic partnerships.


This quarter’s session, themed “Stronger Together: Building Powerful Business Partnerships for Progress”, forms part of UBA’s ongoing commitment to business development and financial inclusion across the African continent.


The event is designed to provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with practical knowledge on how to forge impactful alliances, access funding opportunities, and navigate the ever-evolving business environment.


The UBA Business Series, which is held quarterly, has become a key platform for knowledge-sharing, bringing together experienced industry leaders, entrepreneurs and subject-matter experts to guide MSMEs through the complexities of growth and sustainability.


This edition features a distinguished line-up of successful business personalities, including Dabota Lawson, a beauty entrepreneur; Wale Ayilara, a real estate mogul and entrepreneur; Mai Atafo, a fashion designer; and Peace Hyde, a journalist and TV producer.


According to the bank, these speakers are expected to share deep insights on how partnerships and collaboration have helped them overcome common barriers and scale their ventures.


Speaking ahead of the event, Shamsideen Fashola, UBA’s Group Head of Retail and Digital Banking, emphasised the bank’s belief in the power of partnerships to drive meaningful progress in the business space.
