 ASONMP Hails Governor Sanwo-Olu @ 60: Commends Transformative Leadership, Infrastructure Development

The Association of New Media Practitionersbof Nigeria(ASONMP), has said celebrating 60th birthday of his Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu with a huge infrastructure developments across the nooks and crannies of Lagos metropolis is worthy of celebration.

The President ASONMP Deacon Samuel Temitope, gave this encomium during the media chat revealing the achievements for the past 6 years in Lagos praising the governor's contributions to the development of Lagos State.

The association highlighted Sanwo-Olu's achievements, including infrastructure development, economic growth, healthcare improvement, education reforms, environmental initiatives, and social welfare programs. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also commended the governor's commitment to the state's development.

Some notable achievements mentioned include the completion of significant transportation projects, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and initiatives to improve healthcare services and education.

The governor's commitment to transforming Lagos into a modern megacity and addressing the needs of its diverse population was recognized by ASONMP president.

He highlighted some of the achievements to include:

1. Infrastructure Development:

– Completion of significant transportation projects, including the Blue and Red Rail lines, which enhance public transport in the state.

– Ongoing preparations for the Purple Line, aimed at improving connectivity, especially in the Lekki corridor.

2. Economic Growth:

– Initiatives that have led to an increase in the state’s GDP, positioning Lagos as a major economic hub in Nigeria and West Africa.

– Support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to boost local entrepreneurship and job creation.

3. Healthcare Improvement:

– Implementation of health policies and initiatives aimed at improving healthcare services, including the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

– Upgrading and equipping health facilities across the state.

4. Education Reforms:

– Investment in educational infrastructure and the introduction of programs to improve the quality of education in public schools.

5. Environmental Initiatives:

– Launch of programs focused on waste management, sanitation, and environmental sustainability to combat the challenges of urbanization.

6. Social Welfare Programs:

– Development of various social welfare programs aimed at improving the living standards of residents, including youth empowerment initiatives.
