OGUN SETS TO SUPPORT SUBJECT ASSOCIATIONS FOR BETTER DELIVERY
Present administration in Ogun State has disclosed its readiness to continually support all the school subject Associations towards engendering a better academic delivery.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu disclosed this during the familiarisation visit of the newly inaugurated executive members of the Mathematical Association of Nigeria (MAN), Ogun State Chapter, to his Oke-Mosan Office, Abeokuta, saying the subject Associations like MAN, Computer Association of Nigeria, Science Teachers Association of Nigeria, among others, would receive financial and moral support to further enhance their abilities and improve their skills.
The Commissioner enjoined the new executive members of the association to be passionate in the pursuit of their core vision, charging them to work as a team, run transparent and inclusive administration. He urged other members to cooperate with the Chairman towards achieving the set objective of the association.
"We will give you necessary support, just as we do for all subjects association. We will assist your trip to Sokoto, but you need to justify the support by making the State proud by winning laurels and trophies, "Arigbabu said.
Speaking, the Chapter Chairman of MAN, Mrs. Gbemisola Orekoya, appreciated the State Government for standing with the association, saying the support from the government would in no small measure re-modify Mathematics teaching to the desired haven.
