Ogun State Councilors Forum Leaders Visit Ado-Odo/Ota LG, Seek Collaboration for Better Results
In a bid to strengthen ties with the Executive Body of Ogun State's 20 local governments, the Ogun State Councilors' Forum has emphasized the importance of collaboration between lawmakers and the Executive Body aiming to further achieve better results for the administration of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in Ogun State.
The Chairman, Ogun State Councilors' Forum, Hon. Faseyi Akindele, made this statement during the delegate's visit to Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Secretariat in Ota.
Akindele stressed that it is crucial for the Executive Arm at the Local Governments level to prioritize the welfare and needs of councilor believing this will establish cordial relationships between the Legislative Arm and the Executive Arm of Governments.
Akindele promised that lawmakers are ready to promote a culture of teamwork and cooperation, ensuring good working relationships.
The Vice President of the National Forum for Councilors, Hon. Abiola Muheeb, along with other leaders, echoed Akindele's sentiments stating that this visit marks the beginning of a new era of collaboration and cooperation between lawmakers and the Executive Body in Ogun State.
In response, the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota LG, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu, represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr. Agabi Mohammed, appreciated the Forum for their visit.
He promised that the Executive Arm would collaborate to establish a good working relationship with the lawmakers emphasizing the importance of creating an enabling environment and prioritizing the interests of local governments, stating, the grassroots are the foundation of development.
"This visit is expected to pave the way for a new era of cooperation and collaboration between lawmakers and the Executive Body in Ogun State, ultimately driving rapid development across the state's 20 local governments", he said.
