ADO –ODO/ OTA WARNS TRADERS AGAINST ROADSIDE TRADING FOR SAFETY
Traders in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State have been warned against roadside trading, to avoid road obstruction, allow free flow of vehicular activities and for their safety.
The Local Government Chairman, Engr. Sheriff Musa gave this warning during his visit to some markets in Ota, where he frowned at the rate people displayed their wares on the roadside, especially on market days, saying this unwholesome act had led to destruction of property as well as loss of lives.
Engr. Musa advised them to make use of the stalls and other designated places provided by government within the market for their safety, urging them to comply with stipulated regulations and join hands to ensure safety of lives and property in the community.
‘’It is our responsibility to ensure safety of lives and property but we cannot do it alone, as safety is a collaborative effort. As much as government has a role to play, so also the governed, so, let us join hands to build our future together", he said.
The Chairman appreciated the support and encouragement of the people towards a successful tenure of political functionaries in the area.
