 ENGR. MUSA REVEALS IMPORTANCE OF EMBRACING RELIGIOUS HARMONY






Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Boss,  Engr.Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA has  emphasized the importance of promoting religious harmony and understanding among residents as hallmark to peaceful co-existence.


The Council Boss, Engr. Sheriff Musa, made this statement during the 14th annual Ramadan Lecture of Ado Odo Ota Local Government Secretariat Muslim Community,   themed "Parenting In Islam And Society", held  at the chief Nosiru Deinde Memorial Hall of the Council's  Secretariat.


Engr. Musa Sheriff Adewale encourages everyone to embody the spirit of Ramadan through acts of kindness and compassion as this is the yardstick
to the development of the council, State and the Nation as a whole. 


The Chairman, Planning Committee, Ado Odo Ota Local Government Secretariat Muslim Community,14th Annual Ramadan Lecture, Comrade Moshood Jamiu Ayoyemi  said since 14 years the entire staff of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government usually come together at every holy month of Ramadan to purify o souls, discuss various ways forward for  betterment of our lifes and to maintain the right path of the almighty Allah irrespective of religion  diversity.







 Awoyemi added that the series of gatherings had contributed immensely to the construction and completion of the Secretariat Mosque appreciating the management of the Council ably led by Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA for their support since the inception of the present administration. 

The Head of Local Government Administration of the Council, Dr Adebola Bamgbose FCPA emphasized  the significance of Ramadan as a time for spiritual renewal and unity expressing gratitude to the scholar for his insightful teachings enjoining all to embrace the values of generosity and empathy. 


Bamgbose in his remarks, reminds the gathering of the diverse and inclusive nature of the community charging them to foster a sense of togetherness and shared purpose. 


The guest lecturer, Alhaji Imam Anafiu Adisa Oladega the Cheif Imam Elero Central Mosque, Igbesa delivered a  thoughtful lecture  on "Parenting in Islam and Society"  Emphasizing the pivotal role of parents in nurturing the next generation.


He said  there is need to  instil Islamic values and teachings in children aswell  drawing parallels between Islamic principles and societal expectations  stating the need for parents to be exemplary role models, guiding their children with compassion and wisdom spotting on some challenges, such as the influence of media and peer pressure.
