ADO-ODO/OTA LEGISLATIVE ARM COMMENDED ON GOOD GOVERNANCE
The Executive Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Engr. Sheriff Musa, has commended the legislative arm of the council for passing six bills into bye-laws to accelerate good governance in the area.
Engr. Sheriff Musa made this known while addressing journalists in his office at the Local Government Secretariat in Ota, hinging the success of his administration on the cooperation of both the executive and the legislative arms of the local government
According to him, "We need to commend the legislative arm for the cooperation and quick passage of six bills on community rate and other related matters into Bye-Laws; passage of year 2022 and 2023 Appropriations Bills, passage of Bye-Laws on naming of streets and other related matters, Review of Internally Generated Revenue Rates, Levies, Fines and other Matters connected with, as well as Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government”.
The local government boss promised not to relent in continually dishing out dividends of democracy, collaborate with all security agents and beef up security, in order to make the area safe, especially in the various schools across the local government area.
He appealed to the residents to make peace their priority, be vigilant and report suspected cases in their areas to security agents, for peaceful co-existence.
