N6.9B BUDGET OF FULFILLMENT WILL CREATE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT – LG BOSS
The proposed budget of six billion nine hundred and ninety-three million, two hundred and eighty-seven thousand (₦6,993,287,000), is designed to create an enabling environment for sustainable development and building on previous years' achievements.
The Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Engr. Sheriff Musa, stated this while presenting the council's budget, tagged, 'Budget of Fulfilment" to the Legislative Arm of the Council for 2024 fiscal year, at the council secretariat, Ota.
Engr. Musa noted that the budget was people-centred, as projects that would have direct impact on the lives of the people would be executed.
He pointed out that the proposed budget was expected to be financed from statutory allocation from both federal and state governments, as well as Internally Generated Revenue of the local government.
Speaking, the first female leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Omosowon Bukola Balogun, said the Local Government boss operated an open door policy facilitated cordial relationship and inspired working in tandem with ISEYA mantra of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration, towards improving the lives of the people.
She assured that the House would pass the bill without delay, adding that the Legislative Arm would work together as a team in actualising the "Building Our Future Together" agenda.
