XMAS CAROL-AOOLG BOSS ADMONISHES RESIDENTS TO EMULATE EXEMPLENARY LIFE OF CHRIST
The Executive Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government,Engr. Sheriff Musa has admonished the residents to emulate the exemplenary life of Jesus Christ in dealing with one another to guaranty peaceful co-existence in the society.
The Local Givernment boss, Engr. Sheriff Musa made this statement during the Local Government Christmas Carol to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ at the secratariat hall in Ota.
Musa while reading from the Bible, Luke Chapter 2 verses 5 -7 said The birth of Jesus Christ describes humility and brings love to mankind.
Apostle Tola Olukilede of the Heal The World Ministry, in his sermon titled " Treasure Should Be Made In Heaven", admonished people to help one another especially the needy which will be greatly rewarded by God.
According to him"Treasure should be made in heaven, Matt 6;19-21
Knowledge of God should be accessible to man on Earth, Matt 12:35 , Mark 10: 21, A treasure is something that is very important to man, such as Gold, house, knowledge, money, marriage, certificates etc, something that one will not want to give out easily" which is vanity, but, having treasures in heaven boosts ones blessings on earth" he said.
He added that acquisition of properties and other treasures of live has no relvant at the point of death saying those helped and assisting works of God will faclitate a divine blessing to better the society.
Responding, The Head Of Local Government Administration, Holga, Adebola Bamgbose, in his remarks said the local government administration will not relent in its efforts to make the area safe for living adding that all hands will be on deck to accellerate the construction of the local government fellowship auditorium.
He enjoins the residents to emulate the life of Christ aswell to be law abiding during and after the yuletide period adding that the season is to show love and help the needy neighbours.
