 M.O.T Permanent Secretary Charges Officers To Work.

The Permanent  Secretary Ministry of Transportation Dr Abdulwaheed Olanloye has charged Officers in the Ministry to improve on themselves for better performance in the discharge of  their respective duties in order to achieve desired purposeful result.  

 

Dr  Olanloye gave this advice during a meeting with the Management and Staff of the Ministry held at the Conference room  yesterday, in Oke Mosan Abeokuta.

 Speaking further, the Permanent secretary harped on the need to be ingenious at creating  ways to boost the internally generated revenue of the Agency and the state in general.

He stressed on  Punctuality, proactiveness, Proper dressing and  Good human relations as  important work ethics in any organisation.

" I love officers who are punctual to work as Punctuality is the soul of any business, and when you come to office, you must work. it is not good enough to be in the office loitering around, gisting , postponing what ought to be done.  One of the most dangerous activity of work is procrastination" . He reiterated .

He also advised on the need for good human relations amongst officers ,saying that it is pleasant to work where love radiates, while condemning the act of ill treatment of Officers by superiors and vice versa.This he described as a sown seed. The PS promised to make Staff welfare a priority for  effective discharge of duties. He also link the importance of proper dressing to looking good at all times .

 Dr Olanloye used the opportunity to remind officers of the steps taken by the Ogun State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, towards alleviating the challenges faced by workers in recent times as a result of fuel subsidy removal, which include 40percent  peculiar allowance and ,N10,000 monthly palliative across the board and the 20percent  palliative in Staff attendance which translates to one- work free day in a week.

In his remarks, Director of Administration and Supplies Mr Idowu Onasanya appreciated the Permanent secretary resolves at ensuring that the Ministry of Transportation becomes the special agency of government to be envied and emulated, while pledging on behalf of the staff, an optimal performance in the discharge of their duties for the overall growth and development of the state civil service.
