 ABIODUN SWEARS IN 4 PERM SECS, PAYS OVER 112 BILLION AS PENSIONS, GRATUITIES

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun says it has paid over N112 billion in Pensions and Gratuities to retired government officials of both the State and Local Government.


The Governor made this known at the Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta during the swearing-in ceremony of four new Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service, stating that his administration would continue to prioritise the welfare of workers in the State.

Abiodun also said his administration would continue to build on the foundation laid in the last four years, noting that the selection process of the Permanent Secretaries was based on seniority, merit and the overall interest of the people of the State.

He added that his administration had placed premium on skill, experience, and honesty, urging the new Permanent Secretaries to work closely with their Commissioners, saying, "I want to urge our new permanent secretaries to please work very closely, collaboratively and cordially with your Commissioners, it is only by doing this that you will achieve your set objectives.

"Our Government will continue to prioritise your welfare, I believe we have demonstrated this by payments of various allowances, be it transport or peculiar allowance and all other allowances we met when we assumed office that was outstanding", he said.

The four new Permanent Secretaries sworn in by Governor Abiodun are Mrs. Roseline Jacob, Mr. Samuel Oyeleye, Mrs. Kehinde Akinola and Mr. Oladipupo Ogunfowora.

In an interview, Mrs. Roseline  Jacobs and Mr. Samuel Oyeleye thanked the Governor for appointing them as Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service, pledging to add value to the implementation of policies and programmes of the present government.
