PROVISION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING, DELIBERATE TO REDUCE DEFICIT-ESV OJO
General Manager, Ogun State Housing Corporation, Esv. Akinwale Ojo, has said that the provision of Housing Estates in the State by Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration was to reduce the challenges of the housing deficit in the country.
Esv. Ojo, who made this known during a chat with journalists in Abeokuta said the first phase of the Prince Court Housing Estate located in Itanrin, Ijebu-Ode, consisting of 100 housing units has been completed and will be commissioned soon, barring unforeseen circumstances by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
He said a similar housing project, Prince Court Housing Estate with the same features had already been provided in the Idi-Aba Area of Abeokuta in Ogun Central Senatorial District.
"To show the commitment of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to reducing the challenges of housing deficit in the country, Prince Court Estate phase 1, Itanrin, Ijebu-Ode has been completed, it's a scheme that has 100 housing units and will be commissioned soon", he said.
He added that the project was provided with amenities such as a good road network, potable water, standard drainage system, and power supply, noting that the provision of a safe, serene, decent, and affordable project was the priority of the government.
The General Manager further said that the Facility Management (FM) office has been provided in the Estate to oversee the needs of the occupants, as well as ensure proper maintenance and sustainability of the project.
