2023/2024 LEGAL YEAR: OGUN CJ ASSURES WORK EFFICIENCY
The Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu has promised to further improve on training, welfare of staff and entrench the digitalisation of the judiciary with the aim of providing an efficient and effective justice dispensation.
Justice Dipeolu made this known during the conferment of merit awards as part of activities ushering in the 2023/2024 Legal Year held at the Ceremonial Ground of the Judiciary Complex in Abeokuta.
The Chief Judge said all hands must be on deck to lift the State Judiciary to a lofty height, so as to achieve greatness, adding that it could be done through continued efforts of staff and maintaining and attaining high standards.
"You know one person can make a difference and so everyone should try, the award winners we are celebrating today have not only excelled in their professional capacities but have also shown a deep-seated commitment to making a difference”, she said.
Speaking at the mosque service, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun appreciated the entire judicial sector of the State for their efforts towards the attainment of a good society, noting that they were germane in the survival of good democratic governance.
The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele assured that the present administration would continue to guarantee a conducive atmosphere for the rule of law and would not hesitate to further work with the judiciary and other arms of government for improved democracy.
Speaking, the guest lecturer, who was the Chief Imam University of Ibadan and lecturer in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Prof. Abdul-Rahman Oloyede in his lecture titled: “Home as the Bedrock of a Better Society”, quoted from Q66 verses 6-12, that everyone, irrespective of tribe should live as a family, pointing out that God had made mankind in different tribes and nations to identify themselves.
