OGUN HoS RECEIVES REPORT OF PANEL OF ENQUIRY ON DUPLICATION OF CofO
The Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, has received a report from the Administrative Panel of Enquiry on Duplication of Certificate of Occupancy (CofO), commending the members for their prompt response to call to service and due diligence.
It would be recalled that a five-man Administrative Panel of Enquiry on Duplication of Certificate of Occupancy was set up on June 21, 2023, to investigate the illegal duplication of the certificate of occupancy of one Abiola Dosunmu landed properties registered with the same particulars by officials of the Bureau of Lands and Survey.
Mr. Fagbohun, who received the Panel in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, led by its Chairman, Mr. Adedeji Sowunmi, appreciated them for taking up the challenge to serve for the progress of the Civil Service.
He assured the Panel that the State government would look into their recommendations and act accordingly, saying their efficiency would have an impact on the processes in the Civil Service, particularly in the Bureau of Lands and Survey.
The Head of Service enjoined members of the Panel to share their experience with the people who worked with them in the course of the assignment for them to learn more on the job.
Mr. Fagbohun, thereafter charged workers to protect the sanctity of the Civil Service at all times when dealing with the public, so as to save the Service from the issue of image challenges and uphold the trust the public has in them.
Earlier speaking, Mr. Sowunmi, who expressed gratitude to the State government and the Head of Service for finding the members of the panel worthy to serve, noted that the assignment was duly completed without fear or favour, saying consultations with necessary stakeholders which included officials within and outside the Bureau, the State Internal Revenue Service, divisional police headquarters among others were of help to the Panel.
He said, "The assignment has been completed and it is our great pleasure to submit, we hope that the State government would find it useful in addressing the illegality in the Bureau of Lands and Survey. We are grateful to the State Government and the Head of Service for finding us worthy to serve the State in this capacity’’.
