Man beats wife to death in Adamawa over plans to marry another man

The Adamawa police command has arrested a 56-year-old man named Aminu Abubakar for allegedly killing his wife. The victim, identified as Nana Fadimatu, was reportedly beaten to death by her husband after she informed him of her plans to marry another man from a neighbouring community.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the incident occurred on Friday, May 5 at around 10 pm. Aminu, who resides in Lelewaji community in Shagari Phase 2 Estate, Yola South Local Government Area, attacked his wife with a hard object which rendered her unconscious. Sadly, she was later pronounced dead.
