NEW HoS CALLS FOR DEDICATION IN CIVIL SERVICE

The newly appointed Ogun State Head of Service, Kolawole Peter Fagbohun has called on all Civil Servants in the State workforce to dedicate themselves to hard work, contributing their quota to the development of the Civil Service and the State at large.

Fagbohun, who said this as he was received amidst funs fare by the civil servants across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, where he was the Permanent Secretary until his appointment, stated that no one person can bring about the change that was being desired in the Civil Service, adding, the support of everyone from the greatest to the least were required at this present time.

The number one Civil Servant appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the trust and confidence reposed on him by his Administration, saying, he would not allow the ball to drop from his hand as the 19th Head of Service.

Fagbohun, speaking on the activities in the Ministry, said: “the Ministry is a mini Ogun State, where you have all the 20 Local Governments Areas to supervise as well as the Traditional Councils.”, adding that it was not a small work, but for the help of the two Commissioners and members of staff whom he had worked with, the job was made easier with positive results across the nooks and crannies of the State.

He added that many of the issues inherited, were well managed while the Local Government Councils known mainly, as salary paying centres, could now boast of

least two or three projects they could point at under the current government.

In his remarks, the Commissioner in the Ministry, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat said he has known the new Head of Service to be an upright and disciplined individual, whom he believed that his appointment was well deserved.
