The All Progressives Congress (APC) would dominate the next Cross River House of Assembly after winning 19 of the available 25 seats in the recent election.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) received five seats, while the Labour Party received one, according to the results released on Wednesday in Calabar by INEC Head of Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs Tonia Nwobi.

The APC won all nine senatorial seats in the southern senatorial district, seven of the eight available seats in the central senatorial district, and three in Cross River North.

The PDP received four seats in Cross River North and one in the Central senatorial district, while the LP received only one seat in the Northern senatorial district.

According to the results, the APC won the state constituencies of Abi, Akamkpa I and II, Akpabuyo, Bakassi, Biase, Boki I and II, Calabar Municipality, and Calabar South I and II.

Etung, Ikom II, Obubra I and II, Obudu, Odukpani, and Yakurr I and II were also won by the APC.

The PDP was victorious in Ikom I, Ogoja, Yala II, Obanliku, and Bekwarra state constituencies, while the LP was victorious in Yala I.
