OGHA LAUDS INFORMATION MINISTRY, ALLIED AGENCIES ON EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES

Ogun State Ministry of Information and Strategy has been commended for its evolving broadcast and print messages in the propagation of the democratic gains of the ’ISEYA’ mantra of the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration to the people of the State.

Members of the House Committee on Information, Culture and Tourism led by Hon. Yusuf Adejojo, gave the commendation while appraising the Ministry's Budget performance alongside that of  Ogun State Television (OGTV) and Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

The Lawmakers in their respective submissions acknowledged the efforts of the information teams of OGBC and OGTV for their innovative measures that had sustained effective communication between the government and the people, saying people were better informed about the present administration’s activities.

They challenged the management to improve the revenue of the Ministry and the State-owned broadcasting stations, including paid patronage from Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government.

In his response, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile stated that the Ministry and the media stations were irrevocably committed to the mission of bringing government closer to the people and improving their enlightenment and awareness programmes about government's activities.

The Lawmakers also appraised the budget performance of the State Bureau of Information and Communication Technology, as well as Ogun State Printing Corporation, among others.
