" PVC IS YOUR POWER TO CHOOSE THE BEST"- ENGR.NOIMOT
The National Electoral Commission has been enjoined to fast track the issuance of PVC to residents of Ado- Odo/Ota Local Government as the Permanent Voters Card is their only power to choose the best candidate.
The Deputy Governor of Ogun State Her Excellency, Engr Noimot Salako- Oyedele gave this advise while paying an official working visit to Independent National Electoral Commission, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Office, to see how people's concerns on the issue of Voters Registration Exercise can be addressed.
Engr. Noimot Salako - Oyedele on inspection discovered Nine (9) biometric machines are in use in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Seven (7) out it these (9) are currently being used in different locations within the Local Government while 2 are stationed at the INEC office Ota.
Her Excellency also found out that Only 100 registrants/applicants can be attended to per day at the INEC office, Ota discovering that first 100 persons to put their name down will be attended to on daily basis.
Engr. Noimot noted that Schedule of where the other machines were deployed are displayed at the INEC office in Ota and shared on Social media platforms for people to register at any centre closer to their location instead of coming to the INEC Office acknowledging Registrants/applicants who wants to transfer or request for new card due to loss or damage do not need to come to the INEC office as this process can be completed online :cvr.inecnigeria.org
According to her Excellency, Engr. Noimot asserted that canopies and chairs would be made available for comfortability of registrants/applicants advising the residents to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to enable them choose the choice of their candidates.
Ado-Odo/Ota LG, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials led by Electoral Officer Olaniyi Kayode Samuel thanked the deputy Governor for the visitation which in no doubt will see to reduce or total eradication of difficulties in obtaining Permanent Voters card (PVC) by the masses.
Present along with the Deputy Governor were The Executive Chairman Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Engr Sheriff Adewale Musa, The Vice Chairman Mrs Saidat Olatunbosun Animasaun, other Executive members, Legislators, the State Chairman Riders and Owners of Motorcycle Organization (ROMO) Chief Sotayo Olusola Rasak amongst others.
