OTA LG BOSS THUMPS UP ROTARY CLUB FOR GIFTING PREGNANT WOMEN
The Rotary Club of Ota District 9110 Nigeria in it usual practice of giving to the society held a public health talk and distribution of Ante Natal and Natal items to pregnant women at the Primary Health Centre, Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Hon Sheriff Adewale Musa in his speech appreciated the initiative of Ota Rotary Club District 9110 Nigeria at orientating and gift items to the pregnant women of the Council Area stating that the Health talk will further help and prepare the pregnant women towards a better and sound delivery.
The Council Boss urged Ota Rotary Club District 9110 Nigeria not to relent on their oars at giving back to the society at all times as Government can not do it all. He thanked the Club in advance for the much anticipated water reservoir to be executed at the Primary Health Care Centre, Ota.
He equally advised residents of the Council Area to join the great Rotary Club as it is a Club that has the interest of people at heart.
Earlier speaking, the President of Ota Rotary Club District 9110 Rotarian Wale Hassan FCA in his opening speech said that Ota Rotary Club which has been in existence for the past 40years is affiliated to the Rotary Club of Wallington District 1145, UK.

He added that Ota Rotary Club has been giving back to society on yearly basis since its existence some of which were free sponsorship of under graduates in Lagos and Ogun State, purchase of computer system to public Secondary Schools amongst others.
Wale advised pregnant women at the gathering to make use of the Health talk and gift items provided by Ota Rotary Club District 9110 to their advantage.
The Apex Nurse Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Primary Health Care Matron Akinremi Rasheedat in her speech gave thanks to Almighty God and Ota Rotary Club District 9110 Nigeria for their innovation at giving Health Talk and gift items to pregnant women and Nursing mothers as it will further boost their confidence towards save, sound and better delivery.
She urged the pregnant women to always attend Ante Natal Clinic as against going to traditionalists and churches. She equally lectured them on the kind of intakes during pregnancy and urged them to always make use of Insecticide Treated Nets.
The Chairman Ogun State Association of Nigeria Medical Practitioners (ANPMP) Rotarian Dr. Kayode Oyelade who was the guest speaker of the occasion, lectured the pregnant women on danger signs during pregnancy.

He expanciated on different kinds of signals that may occur at pregnancy stage which are dangerous to the health of mother and foetus some of which are bleeding, Headache and convulsion during pregnancy. He warned them to go to the hospital immediately they notice any of these signs.
The Royal father of the day HRH Oba Clement Akinyemi Ajana of Ijana Ota Awori land thanked Ota Rotary Club District 9110 Nigeria for their unfailing support to the development of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area. He prayed for the save delivery of all pregnant women in Ota and the world entirely.

He further advised them to be submissive and humble to their husband at all time as it will also help in reducing domestic violence in which may hinder their delivery.
