 OGUN EMPOWERS GRADUATES ON ICT, GIVES AUTOMATIC EMPLOYMENT


          Determined to reduce the unemployment rate among its citizens, the Ogun State Government through the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) in collaboration with Software Business Solutions Consulting (SBSC) and ODUA'S Investment  has given free training to some unemployed graduates on developing a new Information Technology solution with an assurance of immediate employment.


       




  The program which was organised by the present administration to broaden the scope of the youths in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at Ogun Techhub, kobape Abeokuta.


          In his keynote address, the Special Adviser to the Governor on ICT, Mr. Dayo Abiodun said the training was management-based to enable public and private sectors manage cost, reduce stress, and save time, among others using new innovations in Information Technology (IT).


          "The present administration in Ogun is determined to digitalise the State, hence the three months of free training given to the participants so as to develop new IT ideas that could be adopted by government and private firms.


          Some of the unique digital solutions created by the trainees such as transportation, education and hospital management solutions, and so on, will reduce unemployment, as well as boost the digital economy of the State." He stated.
