Baale Adesi Chieftaincy Title: Puting round peg in a round hole will bring the desired development- Adesi grand Son speaks
As the Ogundiran Adesi's jostled for who occupy the new Baale of Iyana Meta otherwise known as Adesi cut-out Chieftaincy title, an Alaari dweller, has urged the Ogundiran Adesi family to choose a better candidate among the Adesi descendants who are by tradition, the only section that should be the Baale of Adesi.
An anonymous said the family has always very meticulous on matters that has to do with Chieftaincy matters, should also extend same to who occupies Baale stool.
The Son, said though the process of selecting any traditional chief like Baale rests solely on Family Head and the Elders of the Family where Mr Toye Adesi is a major stakeholder, warns that the family will not trade it with any other family of the Iyana meta's.
"Ogundiran has people of impeccable character like Chief Rafiu Ilo from Ibiteye Adesi clan, who has been tested with various offices and task and has been found capable
He said who ever will be chosen as must come from diaspora township and familiar with current trend of the world.
"Chief Rafiu Ilo, is the Alake of Alaari town, the current of custodian of traditional heritage of Alaari town in Ipokia Local Government under His Royal Majesty Oba Kehinde Adeisa (Ogiyan of Alaari), in all the task given to him, he has excelled, and it is our belief that if given higher task, he will not disappoint us
He said before anybody will be pushed forward for any position, we must always ensure that people with impeccable character and verifiable means of livelihoods will be installed as Baale.
The Son remarked that the process of installing a traditional Chief had been abused in the past, urged the Family and HRM Oba Oyebanji Adetunji Olowobese (Oloja of Ọja-Odan) to conduct a thorough background check on those jostling for Baale of Iyana Meta.
In his remark, the Baale of Ologiri who also is the member of Adesi clan, described Baale of Iyana Meta Chieftaincy title as the Minister of Commerce of Ọja-Odan, literally is the Pà rà kòyà of Ọja-Odan, and must be versed in matters that need to be done with trade and money matter, and that's why the son of Adesi can not do without Aje Deity, because the Aje Deity has a role to play, hence since it's only Adesi section of Ọja-Odan that can appease Aje deity, Adesi son should be chosen as Parakoyi of Ọja-Odan. Using the family head Alh. Dara Adekunle who is the CDC chairman of Ọja-Odan, and Market Board Chairman, also founding fathers of ỌJA-ODAN MICROFINANCE BANK as an example.
