The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Hon. Sheriff Adewale Musa recently held a meeting with the Covenant University Community Development Impact Initiative Committee CU-CDIIC on the need to partner the council on developmental projects in order create succor to the people of the Local Government Area.

Hon. Musa made this statement in a meeting with the members of Covenant University Community Development Impact Initiative Committee CU-CDIIC at Iju Primary Health Care Centre of the Council Area in Ota.


 Appreciating the efforts of Covenant University widely known as the Citadel of Knowledge worldwide for people-oriented projects which has not gone unnoticed by the authority of the Council Area aswell recalling how the students of the school donated transparent waste bins to the Local Government and generator to  Onipanu Division of the Nigeria Police Force in the Council Area.

The Council Boss, further stated that the CU-CDIIC has chosen the Iju health centre for their infrastructural development projects which is a welcome development as it will boost the patronage and health care delivery of the centre.

The Director of Covenant University Community Development Impact Initiative Committee Dr. Mrs. Tayo George highlighted some of their intervention in the past which included donation of sanitizers to the Primary Health Care Development of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government during COVID-19 surge also conducted free medical outreach in the past adding  further that CU-CDIIC has decided this time around to attend to the infrastructural development of Iju Primary Health Care Centre of the Council Area.

The Acting Coordinator of the Council's Primary Health Care department Mr. Odebode Gbadebo appreciated the CU-CDIIC for their initiatives in the area of health sector appreciating the Council Boss for his selfless services to the Local Government  couple with various tours now yielding results.

The Apex Nurse of the Council, Matron Akinremi and the Matron of Iju health centre, Matron Lawal later led the Chairman and the CU-CDIIC team on assessment of the centre after which the team promised to take the assessment back the management of Covenant University and later get back to the Local Government authority on the exact project to be executed within Iju Health Centre.
