 PA SONEKAN’S DEATH: A GREAT LOSS – AFUAPE



The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape has described the death, Head of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Sonekan as a great loss to him, Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria in general.

 


Afuape, who stated this in his Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said Pa Sonekan an industrialist, a board room member to the core, did his best for the nation. 

“His death was a great loss to me personally, to Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria in general. Though, he died at a ripe age of 85, his wealth of experience and contribution to the nation’s development would be felt over time”, the commissioner said.

According to Afuape, his lifetime’s achievements was worthy to be commended; he served Nigeria with all his heart. His service to the nation and other conglomerate would be missed no doubt. 

He however, commiserated with the family and prayed that his soul rest in perfect peace.
