Olota Tasks Motorists To Submit Their Vehicles For Inspection To Reduce Carnage

The Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege, has advised Motorists in Ota to submit their vehicles to Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) for proper  electronic checking in order to reduce incessant accident on the road.

The royal father, Olota of Ota, Prof. Abdukabir Obalanlege gave the advice while presenting his official vehicle to the Ota Zonal office of the Ogun State Computerized Vehicle Inspection Service, VIS, on Ijoko road in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Council Area saying  this was necessary to reduce Carnage on our roads.

“Most of the accidents on our roads would have been avoided if vehicle owners had  diligent check on their vehicles and ensure proper maintenance are done before putting them on the roads.

“I did not know we have such opportunity of computerized checking machine within our environment here in Ota. I thought VIO business is limited to mounting up road checks.  I will like to enjoin all vehicle owners to submit their vehicles for proper inspection to get rid of avoidable accidents that are usually caused through vehicle malfunctioning. We should make use of available services provided by the Ogun State Computerized vehicle Inspection" Olota said.

He added that for him to have taken his car personally for checking no body should claim   VIPs (very important personalities) advising that everyone should be eagered to follow  suit.

According to him “It is also my candid advice that when people bring their vehicles for inspection, VIO should also demand for their driver’s licenses because we have many unlicensed drivers that are causing accident on the road. Some drive with expired driver’s licenses or without licenses at all.  This is risky and dangerous to accommodate.

Responding, the state VIO Zonal Commander, Ota, Dr. Oluwatoyin Olugbenga, expressed appreciation for the royal father's candid advice, saying his visit would increase the VIO’s public awareness on the need for vehicle inspection, while advising the general public to key in to the system.
