Mother hires thugs to deal with her son's teacher, vandalises car in Ogun State
It should be recalled that at the inception of resumption of schools in Ogun State on 10th January, 2022. Prince Dapo Abiodun led- administration mandated all parents to write an undertaking in a bid to curb indiscipline amongst students in our various secondary schools.
Somehow, towards the end of first term, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), was seriously beaten and sustained severe injury due to maltreatment by unscrupulous elements in one of the secondary schools in Abeokuta.
As if this is not enough, just a week after resumption having duly adhered strictly to the state rules of writing an undertaking, a school at Ado-Odo called Toyon High School, Ere, in Ado Odo/Ota LG experienced a total indiscipline by parent who hired thugs to beat a hell of a teacher, Mr Kabir Azeez who asked his student to cut his bushy hair low.
However, from the investigation a mother brought in thugs into the school compound to beat the teacher also vandalised his car having written and signed an undertaking.
Security agents had arrested the woman and one of the thugs.Arraigned at the Magistrate Court, Ado Odo immediately.
The presiding judge Magistrate Mrs Abdul Salam has asked that, although it is a bailable offence, but,they should be remanded in the prison custody at Ilaro till 16th February, 2022 when the case would come up.
The security agents could not get the student, Joshua Joseph arrested immediately and has been declared wanted and should be made available at the next court sitting in February, 2022.
The outcome of this will definitely serve as detterent to other parents and curb recurrence of this .
