Itunnu Babalola laid to rest in Ibadan
The remains of Itunnu Babalola aka Bekky Paul, have been laid to rest at Sango cemetery in Ibadan on Saturday.
Her corpse arrived Lagos on Friday night via Air Cote Divoire around 11pm.
The body according to a statement by Mr. Abdur-Rahman Balogun,
Head of Media, PR and Protocols NIDCOM, was received by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nigerians in Diaspora Commission at the Muritala Muhammad international Airport, Lagos.
The statement further stated that the body was accompanied to Ibadan by staff of NIDCOM where service of songs held before the interment.
“It was a sad moment for the family and friends who witnessed the entire service of songs and lecture delivered by Most Superior Evangelist Daniel Tosin Otakoya of Celestial Church of Christ, Agbowo Parish, Ibadan.
“At the end of the service, the NIDCOM staff who accompanied the body to Ibadan paid a condolence visit to her father, Mr Ebenezer Babalola at his UI residence.
“Letters and Messages of condolences were presented on behalf of the Federal Government, Nigerian Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire and Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, NIDCOM,” the statement further stated.
